Alan's Automaton Workshop

Alan's Automaton Workshop launched on January 20, 2022 as a steampunk programming puzzle game. Following launch, Laputa Labs actively supported the game with a series of patches and updates through early 2023. The developer's post-launch roadmap (February 2022) outlined several planned additions including a NOT operator update, difficulty adjustments, new puzzles, and the Sandbox mode. These were all delivered: the NOT operator shipped in March 2022, difficulty and complexity improvements arrived in April 2022, and the long-awaited Sandbox mode — with Steam Workshop integration and a level editor — launched on March 31, 2023. The developer had previously communicated through regular posts, but no further content or updates have been announced since then — consistent with a game that has shipped all planned content. Given that all roadmap commitments have been fulfilled, the Sandbox mode (the headline promised feature) shipped, and no further content has been announced or hinted at, the game appears to be complete as of the Sandbox update on March 31, 2023.
