Alder's Blood: Prologue

Released Feb 2020 · delisted

Prequel to Alder's Blood. The key to victory are not muscles or power - but stealth and cunning. The game is a dark mix of tactical strategy and RPG - set in a twisted, dying world. World, where the God is dead and it was us - who killed him.

Evaluation

Alder's Blood: Prologue is a free standalone prequel to the main game Alder's Blood, released on February 12, 2020. It is no longer available for purchase on Steam — there are no purchase options currently listed. Because the game cannot be acquired, it is classified as delisted. The prologue was always a free promotional piece designed to preview the full game, and its developer news activity was minimal and primarily cross-promotional (announcing updates to the main game or other publisher titles). The most recent developer post referencing this prologue directly was a tutorial patch on March 20, 2020. There is no indication the prologue will return to the store.

Evidence

⚜️SUMMARY:⚜️

The story takes place before the events from Alder's Blood and changes the perspective from Chief of the Hunters - to a commoner, named Charles.

Charles, as everyone else in this cruel world, is struggling to stay alive. Daring his luck, out of bravery or desperation - he aims for a quick buck and attempts to hunt the spawns of darkness. If he'll survive - income from reselling the remains of the beasts will secure his livelihood for weeks to come.

What he is not aware of, is how his story will soon unfold and his life... changed forever.

In the world ruled by misery and humanity rotting in shadow of God's dead carcass - death, becomes mercy.
