Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX launched on June 22, 2021 as a complete remake of the 1986 Sega classic, including all original levels plus new bonus levels, Boss Rush Mode, and Retro Mode. Following launch, the developer shipped one meaningful post-launch update on September 3, 2021, adding an Assist Controls menu, a Level Select feature, and a range of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
