Speed Limit

Speed Limit launched on Steam on February 17, 2021 as a complete arcade action game. The developer, Gamechuck, followed up the launch with two free content updates: the Arcade Edition on April 19, 2021 (adding Arcade Mode and Neon Mode), and the Penny & Dime Edition on August 25, 2021 (adding Kiosk Mode). A minor bug fix was issued on June 28, 2021 to address a scoreboard upload error. On February 18, 2022 — the game's one-year anniversary — Gamechuck posted a retrospective celebrating the game's reception and announcing Steam Trading Cards. Crucially, this post directed players toward Gamechuck's next title, Midwintär, rather than announcing any further content for Speed Limit. The developer described the Trading Cards as their "gift" to players and made no mention of additional game modes, expansions, or updates beyond that. Both DLC items (the artbook and soundtrack) were released on launch day and no unreleased DLC exists. The store description references the "free Arcade Edition update" as a completed feature. Since the February 2022 anniversary post — now over four years ago — there have been no further communications about Speed Limit content or development. With the developer having moved on to a new project and the last content update shipping on August 25, 2021, Speed Limit is a complete, finished product.
