Evaluation

Alien Hominid HD launched on Steam on November 1, 2023 as a remastered re-release of The Behemoth's original classic game. It shipped as a complete package containing the full original game, all minigames (including 500+ PDA levels), local co-op, Steam achievements, and leaderboards. After launch, The Behemoth issued a hotfix in December 2023 addressing input and visual bugs, then released a more substantial Update 1.1 on May 8, 2024 that restored missing original music tracks, fixed additional visual and audio issues, and added quality-of-life features like a Turbo Fire option and in-game hat changes. No DLC has been announced or listed for this title, and there is no roadmap promising additional content for Alien Hominid HD specifically. The Behemoth's July 2024 roadmap announcement referenced PlayStation ports for both Alien Hominid HD and Alien Hominid Invasion, and noted prototyping for a new game — but this was a platform expansion, not new content for the Steam version. Their December 2024 post reiterated the PlayStation port plans but announced nothing new for the Steam version of Alien Hominid HD. The studio has since released an entirely separate game (BEHEMOTH, October 31, 2024) and remains active. Alien Hominid HD itself, however, appears to have concluded its post-launch update cycle with the May 2024 quality-of-life patch, and no further content or updates have been communicated for it since then.

Navigate your surroundings by jumping, dodging attacks, grabbing agents, and digging underground! Use your trusted blaster to shoot at anything in your path and hurl grenades towards your enemies for epic explosions! Catch agents off guard with your knife in close-up combat, or chomp their heads off if that’s more your style.

Whether you’re playing solo or 2-player local co-op, Alien Hominid HD is back with the three classic difficulty options:

  • Easy - 7 lives and continues, with two shields from weapon pickups

  • Normal - 5 lives and continues, with one shield from weapon pickups

  • INSANE - 3 lives and continues, one hit kills

Tired of chomping heads? All of the original mini games are here for any aliens wanting a quick break, including:

  • Over 500 levels of PDA Games

  • Super Soviet Missile Mastar

  • All You Can Eat

  • Neutron Ball

  • Pinata Fiesta
