Evaluation

Metal Slug X is a port of SNK's classic 1999 arcade game, released on Steam on October 2, 2014. The Steam version delivers the complete original arcade experience with online co-op added as a platform feature. There is no post-launch content cycle — the game shipped as a finished product containing all six missions from the original arcade release. The only DLC ever released is the Metal Slug X Soundtrack, which shipped on March 29, 2023, and is a music pack rather than gameplay content. No additional content has been announced, and the store description reflects a stable, complete product. This is a classic arcade game preserved for PC — it launched complete and remains so.

Evidence

Store description presents the full arcade game with all six missions, online co-op, leaderboards, and settings — a complete, fixed feature set with no mention of planned additions or ongoing development.
