Almighty: Kill Your Gods

Almighty: Kill Your Gods entered Steam Early Access on May 5, 2021, and remains there as of today. The developer, RUNWILD Entertainment, published regular updates through 2021 and into 2022, adding new content such as the Hollows underground areas, new buildings, and gameplay systems. On May 22, 2022, the developer marked the game's first anniversary with a post confirming active work toward a 1.0 release, saying "you'll be hearing more about what we've got planned in the near future." After that, activity slowed considerably. The last update note specifically for Almighty was a bug-fix patch (Update 0.1.173) on February 16, 2023. Since then, publisher Versus Evil has posted seasonal sale announcements on the game's Steam page, but none of these mention Almighty's development, and RUNWILD has not published any news about the game's progress, a 1.0 timeline, or the future of development. The game has now been in Early Access for over five years, and the 1.0 release that was teased in May 2022 has never been announced or delivered. Developer communications about the game itself have been absent since February 2023 — a silence of over two years — with no explanation provided. Given the outstanding promise of a 1.0 release and the prolonged silence from the developer, it is unclear whether development is still ongoing.
