Evaluation

Astroloot entered Steam Early Access on March 14, 2025 and has been receiving a steady stream of substantial, named content updates ever since. The three most recent major updates visible in the data are: Octron the Deep (November 7, 2025), which added a new Pinnacle Boss and 13 endgame sectors; The Mad Modder (February 13, 2026), which introduced a new enemy type, rewrote the damage system, and restructured the campaign; and Weaver of Fate (June 5, 2026), which brought another Pinnacle Boss, Prophecy Sectors, reworked mechanics, and a suite of new weapons and skills. This establishes a consistent major update cadence of roughly every 2–3 months throughout Early Access. Beyond those major releases, the developer has continued shipping feature patches and bug fixes at a high rate. Most recently, on August 1, 2026 — just 18 days before today's assessment date — the developer launched a public beta for Multiplayer v2, rebuilding co-op from the ground up to support parties of up to four players. This is a significant system overhaul and a clear sign of ongoing active development work. The game's version numbers remain in the 0.8.x range, and the developer has made no statement indicating development is concluding or that a 1.0 release is imminent. All signals point to a game that is being actively and ambitiously expanded, with no sign of slowing down.
