Evaluation
Alone in the Dark Prologue is a free, standalone playable teaser released on May 25, 2023, designed explicitly to preview the full Alone in the Dark game. The store description frames it as "an exclusive first taste" of the full experience, with a teaser at the end for players who complete it. The full game — Alone in the Dark — launched on March 20, 2024, fulfilling the prologue's purpose entirely. As a promotional teaser tied to a now-released product, the prologue's content was always fixed and complete by design. There are no DLC listings, no post-launch updates, and no developer statements suggesting any further content is planned for this prologue. It has fully served its intended role.
