Amorous launched on April 13, 2018 and received several bug fix patches in its early weeks. A post from April 29, 2018 mentioned that the next major update would be v1.1, which would include additional fourth dates for all characters — suggesting content was still in development at the time. However, nearly three years later, on April 12, 2021, the developers released v1.0.4 — a quality-of-life and bug fix patch — and explicitly stated this was a "final patch" and that "the Amorous book can be properly closed." No v1.1 or additional fourth dates were ever released, meaning that planned content was quietly set aside. The developers have made no further communications since April 13, 2021 (a hotfix the day after). The game is complete as the developers themselves have declared it so.
