Evaluation
Anomaly Exit launched on March 31, 2024 and has received a steady stream of updates since. The first major content milestone was v1.0 on April 1, 2024, followed by a series of feature patches improving gameplay systems (anomaly spotting, respawn, voice chat). On February 3, 2025, the developer shipped v2.0, which added a brand-new level — Albain Promenade Station — representing the game's second significant content release. This was followed by further patches in July 2025, including an engine upgrade (v2.1) described by the developer as preparation for "future updates."
The developer's November 2024 announcement (NEWS-5) included a notable line: "Through my life, I intend on telling you all the stories from my list of stories I want to tell. All in a fun and interactive way through my games." While this signals ongoing creative ambitions, it refers to future games rather than specific announced content for Anomaly Exit. The February 2025 survey post (NEWS-9) asked players for feedback to inform "future content," but this is not a concrete announcement of a named update or DLC.
The July 2025 engine upgrade note — "to prepare for any of the future updates I make to Anomaly Exit" — does suggest the developer is not done with the game. However, this is a general forward-looking statement rather than a specific commitment to named content. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store.
With two major content releases across roughly 10 months (April 2024 to February 2025), the developer has established a loose update cadence. The most recent developer communication was on July 6, 2025, roughly 11.5 months before today (June 21, 2026). That silence is approaching but not clearly beyond the ~10-month interval between the two major content releases. The engine upgrade framing in July 2025 as preparation for future updates keeps the door open, but no concrete content has been announced. Given the ambiguity — a solo developer with a stated desire to continue, a suggestive engine upgrade note, but no named upcoming content and nearly a year of silence — the game is best assessed as complete for now, with no confirmed further content on the horizon.

About this game
You were on your way home one day when you realised the train was stopping at the same station over, and over again... at least you thought they were all the same station...
Taking elements from Exit 8 and I'm On Observation Duty, Anomaly Exit fuses the spot-the-difference genre with psychological horror. Additionally, the experience is designed with singleplayer and multiplayer in mind.
GAMEPLAY
- You only need to find one normal station to escape.
- If the station is as you remembered, exit the station, or else get back on the train.
- Take your time, remember the station... and don't forget it... something lurks in the tunnels...
- Hidden in plain sight. The anomalies are not subtle, but you need to pay attention.
- The station is small, but the anomalies are random and numerous.
- No cheap jumpscares. As long as you're paying attention of course...
- But you need to stay alert, avoid any strange beings in the stations, and avoid... the Anomaly Exit!
CO-OP MULTIPLAYER
The station is scary on your own, so team up with other passengers to try and help to remember your way out of the station together! Or you can go your separate ways, and see who makes it out alive.
PROXIMITY VOICE CHAT
Keep your fellow passengers in shouting distance, or you won't know what may happen to them in the other room...
This is a memory based game. So take your time, be patient, no quick reflexes required.
A headset is highly recommended!
Average playtime: 0.5 to 1.5 hours.
