The Anomaly Project launched out of Early Access on November 21, 2024. At launch, the developer explicitly stated they were "already cooking up ideas for more fun levels and content" — and they delivered on that promise. Since launch, the game has received a steady stream of new maps: the Storage map (February 14, 2025) and Barny's Playground Chapter 2 (March 21, 2025), on top of the Floor 5 map that shipped just before the full release (November 9, 2024). This establishes a clear pattern of new map releases roughly every 1-3 months. The developer has not announced any specific upcoming content since March 2025, and no unreleased DLC is listed on the store. However, the developer (Kekdot, a solo developer) launched a new related game called Anomaly Company in Early Access on February 6, 2026, which may be shifting their focus. That said, the developer has not announced any conclusion to content development for The Anomaly Project, and the historical pattern of regular map additions since 2024 reflects an active, content-driven approach. Given the sustained cadence of major content additions and no developer statement that the game is complete, the game remains in an active update pattern — though the gap since the last major content drop (March 21, 2025) is now over 15 months as of June 2026, which is notably longer than the prior cadence. The launch of Anomaly Company may explain the slower pace, but without a formal statement from the developer about The Anomaly Project's future, it cannot be confirmed either way.
