Another Try 2 entered Early Access on April 17, 2025 as an open-world zombie survival game and has been receiving regular, substantial updates ever since. Two major alpha updates have shipped: Alpha 2.0 on August 10, 2025 (modular buildings, new vehicle types, hostile NPC bandits, new locations, new weapons and crafting) and Alpha 4.0 on August 17, 2026 (first-person view, parkour, fishing, new zombie types, new locations, throwing weapons, improved UI, and numerous bug fixes). In between, multiple feature patches added systems like a minimap, vehicle repairs, and zombie variety. The developer has demonstrated a consistent habit of announcing upcoming content and then delivering it — the January 26, 2026 announcement described exactly what Alpha 4.0 would contain, and the developer followed through despite a brief delay. Crucially, the Alpha 4.0 post directly announces the next update on September 20, 2026, with planned optimization improvements and a reworked quest system. The store page continues to list unimplemented planned features including online multiplayer with player-run servers, a full story quest system, and vehicle customisation. Development is clearly active and ongoing, with more content confirmed just two days ago.
