Evaluation
奕剑江湖 launched on August 6, 2024 and has been consistently updated since. The developer shipped new content within the first weeks of launch, including three new character schools on August 15, 2024, followed by multiple balance and feature patches through September 2024. The most significant update arrived on July 1, 2025, bringing a major version overhaul with new elite monster drop equipment, a synthesis system, enhanced skill breakthrough mechanics, and anomaly states — a substantial addition to the core gameplay. This was followed by another content patch on July 23, 2025 adding new cosmetic skins, suppression cards, and further balance adjustments.
The game has two major content releases on record: August 15, 2024 and July 1, 2025, establishing a rough cadence of roughly 10–11 months between major releases. The last developer communication of any kind was July 23, 2025. As of today (September 24, 2026), approximately 14 months have passed since that last post — which does exceed the ~11-month interval between major content drops. However, applying the silence threshold (the smaller of 3× the cadence or 6 months since last communication), the 6-month ceiling is the operative limit, and silence has now extended to approximately 14 months past July 23, 2025.
This extended silence is notable, but the developer has not announced the conclusion of development, and no explicit wind-down statement has been made. The game is a multiplayer competitive title (jungle melee / autochess format) and the most recent update pattern showed ongoing engagement. Given that silence has now well exceeded the historical update window and the 6-month communication threshold, the assessment edges toward completion — but without any developer statement confirming the end of support, and given the prior sustained pattern, the active development warning is retained with a note that the developer has been silent since July 23, 2025 and the update cadence window has now lapsed.
Evidence
Major version update adding new elite monster drop equipment, synthesis system, enhanced skill breakthrough mechanics, and anomaly states — a large overhaul of core gameplay systems.
First major post-launch content release: three new character schools added, establishing a post-launch content pattern.

About this game
Gameplay
This is a game that combines the jungle melee of Warcraft and the self-propelled chess.
The game has 8 players, who fight in a jungle map, and the one with the highest score wins the game.
Heroes are mainly divided into three categories: Strength, Agility, and Intelligence. Each hero has different speeds and attributes, as well as different attack trajectories, attack ranges, attack types, armor types, and talent skills.
Players need to constantly build their own skill combinations through development during the game process, achieving a series of skills with additional effects. At the same time, there is a mutual restraint relationship between skills, and constantly thinking about their own construction strategy while competing for development is the key to winning the game.
Game Features
Skills rivalry: there is a clear mutual restraint between skills
Type Restriction: The restriction of attack type and armor type (applicable to all damage)
Talent Incompatibility: Heroes have different talents, which are mutually incompatible
The above three situations may vary depending on the circumstances, so there is no fixed so-called invincible routine in the later stages. Constantly changing heroes and skills is a way to counter the enemy, and teamwork is the foundation for victory.
