Arcadius launched into Early Access on February 17, 2022 as a solo-developed, free-to-play multiplayer resource gathering game. At launch, the developer stated explicitly that it was "only the beginning" and committed to adding content and features throughout the first year of Early Access. A 2022 roadmap published on March 8, 2022 outlined ambitious plans across Spring, Summer, and Fall 2022, including player-owned islands, guilds, archaeology, sailing, and sea creatures. Through 2022, the developer shipped content updates — an Alchemy and gathering overhaul in April 2022 (NEWS-3), and a major content update adding factions, private servers, and new cosmetics in July 2022 (NEWS-2). The last developer post came on March 14, 2023 (NEWS-1), a feature patch that performed a significant rework of the game's core skills, removed some previously added features (alchemy, gathering as a skill), and noted the developer had recently had a baby and apologized for the lack of updates. Since March 14, 2023, there have been no further posts, patches, or announcements from the developer. The game's store description still describes content as a work in progress, with the mining section noting "more to come with each update." The 2022 roadmap content — including player islands, guilds, sailing, and archeology — was never delivered. The game remains in Early Access with no announced 1.0 target or completion date. Given the complete absence of developer communication since March 14, 2023, the unfulfilled roadmap promises, and the game's ongoing Early Access status, it is unclear whether development is continuing.

Fishing Skill:

Fishing allows you to collect a lot of unique fish, The rarer the fish, the more money it's worth and the more XP you will receive. Fish are native to their environment, You can fish in multiple different environments such as ponds, oceans, and lava. Buy bait and craft new rods in order to improve your chances of catching more and rarer fish!

Mining Skill:

The islands of Arcadius are filled with unique ores each one is harder to obtain than the other. However, mining is the basis of all other skills as you will need to refine these ores into bars so you can craft the best tools imaginable! There are over 16 unique ores with more to come with each update.

Woodcutting Skill:

Every tool in Arcadius will need some sort of wood, Tree cutting is a tedious task but an important one. Each tree are spread out across the lands of arcadius

Crafting:

After a hard day's work of gathering resources you can head to the workbench and craft new tools, But only if you meet that skills level requirement.

Collections:

Over 200 collectible items exist in the world Arcadius and this list expands with each and every update. Fish, tools, wood, ores, harvestables all count towards completing your collection and maximizing your achievement gain.

Smelting:

Every ore can be smelted in Arcadius, Most crafting recipes require a more refined resource. Using coal or wood as the fuel you can forge bars that help compact your inventory and get used for crafting.
