Evaluation
Ascension: Deckbuilding Game launched in December 2014 and has maintained a long-running pattern of content additions over the years. The game has received multiple paid expansions and promo packs across its lifespan. Recent activity confirms ongoing development: the Ascension: Legends expansion launched on November 14, 2025 (listed as DLC on the store), and Promo Pack 7 shipped on May 15, 2026 — just six weeks before today's date. The developer (Playdek) posted the Promo Pack 7 announcement explicitly noting it arrived "just in time for the Steam Deckbuilders Fest," indicating they remain engaged with and actively releasing content for the game. There are no developer statements indicating that development has concluded, and the cadence of a major expansion in late 2025 followed by a promo pack in mid-2026 suggests the game continues to receive new content.
Evidence
Promo Pack 7 released, adding new cards and strategies including Puggageddon and The Aethermourne.
Ascension: Legends expansion officially launched with new heroes, mechanics, and strategies.
