Evaluation

Star Realms has been in continuous active development since its launch on March 8, 2016. Wise Wizard Games has shipped 24 DLC packs across nearly a decade, with a clear and sustained cadence of major content expansions. The news history shows major expansions arriving roughly every 6–18 months: High Alert: Requisition (October 2022), High Alert: Heroes (September 2023), High Alert: Invasion (March 2024), High Alert: First Strike (April 2025), and most recently Rise of Empire Promos 1 (July 29, 2026). A bug fix post on August 13, 2026 confirms the developer is still actively maintaining the game. Crucially, a May 4, 2026 announcement revealed that two additional expansions — Rise of Empire Hero Promos and Rise of Empire Promos 2 — are already available for Legend (beta) players to try, meaning further content is actively in the pipeline beyond what has officially released. No end-of-development announcement has been made.

Rise of Empire Promos 1 expansion launched as a paid purchase in the Star Realms app.
