Asterix & Obelix XXL 3 - The Crystal Menhir launched on November 21, 2019 and received two costume DLC packs — Viking and Legionnaire — both released on November 27, 2019. That accounts for all DLC listed on the store, and both are marked as released with no unreleased items remaining. The developer has not shipped any major updates or new content for this specific game since late 2019. Recent news posts from July and October 2025 are announcements and launch coverage for a separate, newer entry in the series — Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon — posted on this game's news feed as cross-promotion by publisher Microids. These posts do not indicate any new content planned for XXL 3 itself. The game appears to have launched as a complete product, shipped its two small DLCs within days of release, and has received no further content additions since. It is a finished package.

An adventure to share, full of fun, slapping and friendship.
The year is 50 B.C. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely... One small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders. And life is not easy for the Roman legionaries who garrison the fortified camps of Totorum, Aquarium, Laudanum and Compendium.
Peace reigns in the small Armorican village, where the villagers go about their daily business. Our two heroes, Asterix and Obelix, hunt wild boar, the blacksmith and the fishmonger quarrel, and the village chief strolls around the village square atop his shield.
One day, the village druid, Getafix, receives a strange letter. It is from Avina Gandir, the high priestess of Thule! She warns the druid of a grave threat to his people and asks him to take a mysterious Menhir out of its hiding place...
