Evaluation
Astrox: Hostile Space Excavation launched on November 30, 2015 as a complete space mining/trading game. After launch, the developer shipped a handful of feature patches through early 2016 (builds 63, 65, and 66), adding quality-of-life improvements, new NPC types, and gameplay options. However, by September 2017 the developer publicly announced that all future development energy was being directed toward a full sequel — Astrox Imperium — a separate, standalone game built from scratch with no browser-game limitations. From that point forward, every developer post on this page was about Astrox Imperium's development progress, not this game. By February 2019, the developer announced that Astrox Imperium had its own dedicated Steam store page and that all future updates would be posted there. The last communication of any kind on this page dates to March 2019, and it too was about Astrox Imperium. There is no DLC, no roadmap, no outstanding content commitments, and no post-launch content cadence beyond the early patches in 2015–2016. The game launched as a complete product and received light post-launch improvements before the developer moved on to the sequel.
Evidence
Developer announces Astrox Imperium has its own Steam store page and states all future updates will be posted there, explicitly ending updates on this page.
Developer announces Astrox Imperium, a full standalone sequel, explicitly stating it is a separate game with its own store page — not a DLC or expansion of Astrox HSE. All future development focus shifts to the sequel.
