Automachef launched on July 23, 2019 and received two free major content updates post-launch: the Thanksgiving update on November 28, 2019, and the Lunar New Year update on January 24, 2020. On October 31, 2025, the developer (Federico of Rhombico Games) announced the studio was winding down, explicitly stating that Automachef and the other released games "won't receive any more content or feature updates." A follow-up post on November 8, 2025 clarified that the games will remain available for purchase and play, with publisher Team17 continuing to provide limited support for Automachef. The only remaining DLC — the original soundtrack — was released on January 20, 2020. No further content is planned. The game is complete.
