Automon

Automon launched on March 4, 2022 and received a sustained run of post-launch updates. The developer shipped two major content updates: a large feature update in April 2022 (version 1.2 in June 2022 adding items and alternate characters), and the Automonniversary update on February 27, 2023, which added a new elemental type, 10 new Automons, new areas, a new character, and new achievements. That February 2023 update is the last major content release for the base game. Since then, the developer has shifted focus entirely to a sequel — Automon Arena, a multiplayer spin-off. Starting in October 2024, the developer began posting exclusively about Automon Arena's development on this page, explicitly directing players to follow that game's own Steam page and other channels for future updates. As of June 17, 2025, the developer stated that "all further updates on Automon Arena will be posted on its own Steam page" — effectively signaling that this Steam page for the original Automon has served its purpose and will no longer receive development news. No new content for the base Automon game has been announced or hinted at since February 2023. The developer's long-term plans post from March 2022 described the desire to make a new game once the medium-term features were done — and that new game (Automon Arena) is now in active development elsewhere. The original Automon appears to have reached its final content state with the Automonniversary update on February 27, 2023.
