Evaluation
Azurael's Circle: Chapter 1 is a free-to-play horror-mystery game released on September 3, 2018. It is the first installment in a five-chapter series by solo developer Jordan Allen. The developer always intended this to be a finite series — as early as November 7, 2018, Jordan outlined plans to complete the series with Chapters 4 and 5. Chapter 4 shipped on April 22, 2019, and on July 24, 2021, Jordan released Chapter 5, explicitly calling it "the finale to the series." That post also confirmed bug fixes across all prior chapters (1–4) and noted that Chapter 1 would remain free permanently while Chapters 2–5 are available for purchase individually or as a bundle. No further content has been announced or implied for Chapter 1 or the series as a whole. The series is complete as of July 24, 2021.
Evidence
Developer released Chapter 5, explicitly calling it 'the finale to the series.' Bug fixes were also applied to Chapters 1–4. Jordan noted Chapter 1 will remain free permanently.

About this game
Chapter 2 out now!
_____
The police ruled that the suicide of Helen Lancaster, where she gutted herself with a kitchen knife, was due to the grief of losing her husband. Her son, Clint Lancaster, doesn't believe a woman as deeply religious as her mother would do such a thing. Clint takes it upon himself to visit his family farm and see if he can piece together the truth. What could have caused his mother to do such a thing? Was it even her? If not, what's waiting for him at Lancaster Farm?
Azurael's Circle: Chapter 1 is a horror-mystery adventure game. Navigate the house and find clues as to what happened to Helen Lancaster. Piece together items you find in your inventory to get into locked areas of the house and find other useful tools that can help you uncover the mystery.
This is the first act in a planned series of stories following the events surrounding Azurael. Across the series you'll encounter scarier and stranger events that slowly link together into a dark plot that'll chill you to your core.
