Backrooms: Last Room – Infinite Depths launched on August 30, 2024, with the developer openly acknowledging the game was still rough and promising further improvements in a post dated September 1, 2024. Since then, KInTstudio has shipped a steady stream of updates. Part 2 was announced on March 18, 2025 and released that same week, followed by a bug fix on March 23, 2025. A Hub Level major update was announced and released on May 13, 2025, adding a central safe area with new quests, performance improvements, and bug fixes. On June 5, 2025, the developer announced Part 3 is in the works, describing plans for a global overhaul of the plot, multiplayer, mechanics, and graphics, along with new levels including "Level 0" and "Poolrooms." A July 20, 2025 post appears to be a music-related announcement tied to the game. The store description also notes that saving and Steam multiplayer have not yet been implemented but are planned. The most recent content announcement on June 5, 2025 clearly communicates that additional content is coming, and as of today (September 24, 2026), Part 3 has not been confirmed as shipped — the developer has not posted any update since July 20, 2025 indicating it was released. The June 5, 2025 announcement therefore remains an outstanding commitment.
