Bakery Cafe Simulator: Prologue

Bakery Cafe Simulator: Prologue is a free, standalone preview of the full Bakery Cafe Simulator game, released on May 8, 2025. It offers a fixed slice of content — 10 recipes, around 30 customization elements, and online co-op for up to 4 players — designed to give players a taste of the full game. The developer (Cédric at Meerkatt Studio) shipped a rapid series of patches throughout May 2025 addressing performance, multiplayer stability, UI improvements, and quality-of-life fixes. On June 20, 2025, the developer announced that the full Bakery Cafe Simulator would launch into Early Access on July 8, 2025 — the destination this prologue was always pointing toward. On September 23, 2026, the developer posted a feature patch adding a new session system to make multiplayer easier. At the end of that post, the developer wrote "we are coming soon with a loooot of new content!" — however, this teaser is almost certainly referring to the full Bakery Cafe Simulator game (which has been in Early Access since July 2025), not to the prologue itself. The prologue is a bounded preview product with no announced new content, no unreleased DLC, and no roadmap of its own. The September 2026 patch itself is a quality-of-life fix (improving the session/invite system), consistent with routine maintenance rather than content expansion. The prologue launched as a complete preview experience on May 8, 2025, and remains available in that form.
