Battle Shapers

Battle Shapers launched its version 1.0 on December 4, 2024, following over a year in Early Access. The 1.0 release delivered the game's final story act, a new endgame difficulty system (The Phantom Code), new enemy types, 51 Steam Achievements, and significant performance improvements. Since launch, Metric Empire has continued actively developing the game. Update v1.1 on March 28, 2025 introduced the Daily Challenge — a new time-based competitive mode with global leaderboards. Update v1.1.2 on May 14, 2025 added Guardian Mode (an accessibility difficulty toggle) along with balancing and bug fixes. Update v1.1.3 on December 3, 2025 brought new features including the Purge Kit consumable, new weapon mods, Steam Rich Presence support, extensive balance changes across weapons, abilities, and enemies, and quality-of-life improvements. This pattern — three meaningful post-1.0 feature updates delivered between March and December 2025 — establishes a sustained cadence of roughly 3–7 months between major releases. The most recent update was December 3, 2025. As of today, October 8, 2026, approximately 10 months have passed since that last major update, which does exceed the high end of the established 3–7 month window. However, the developer has made no announcement that development is complete or that updates have ended. The at-the-limit silence alone, without any developer statement concluding support, is not sufficient to declare development finished. The game remains in active post-launch development with no public roadmap or unreleased DLC, but also no signal that the developer has stepped away. The situation warrants continued monitoring — if no update arrives by early 2027, that would more clearly indicate a conclusion to the update cycle.
