Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 launched on January 24, 2019 and followed a clear post-launch content plan. The developer published a roadmap in March 2019 outlining several planned updates, all of which were subsequently delivered: co-op mode completion and new Necron ships (Patch 3, March 21, 2019), a competitive system (Patch 4, April 24, 2019), a massive fleet/Titan mode (also Patch 4), and finally the Chaos Campaign Expansion (June 24, 2019). The Chaos Campaign Expansion was the final major content release — the roadmap was fully completed at that point. Notably, in the June 24, 2019 news post announcing the Chaos Expansion launch, the developer stated "With the roadmap completed, we are now concentrated on the release of the New Chaos Campaign," confirming that the roadmap had been fulfilled. Both DLC entries in the store listing — the Chaos Campaign Expansion (June 24, 2019) and the Soundtrack (April 6, 2020) — are released, with no unreleased DLC remaining. The only post-2019 developer communication was a September 24, 2024 hotfix addressing a stability issue caused by an OpenSSL bug on newer Intel CPUs — a purely technical maintenance patch, not a content update. No future content has been announced, and the developer has not communicated any plans for additional expansions or updates beyond maintenance. The game's content development concluded with the Chaos Campaign Expansion on June 24, 2019.
