Evaluation

Beat Slayer launched on April 4, 2024. Shortly after release, the developer published a 2024 roadmap on June 20, 2024 outlining three planned patches for the rest of the year: the Community Patch (June), the Hazard Patch (August), and the Anarchy Patch (November). All three of these patches were delivered as promised — the Community Patch on June 27, 2024, the Hazard Patch on August 19, 2024, and the Anarchy Patch (version 1.5) on November 18, 2024. The November 18, 2024 post explicitly framed the Anarchy patch as the way they wanted to "say goodbye to the Beat Slayer year 2024," signaling the end of the planned 2024 update cycle. No further content has been announced beyond that roadmap, and there have been no developer communications since November 18, 2024. The entire 2024 roadmap has been fully delivered, and no new roadmap or content announcements have followed. The only DLC is the soundtrack, which released on April 17, 2024. The game appears to have concluded its planned post-launch update cycle.
Evidence
Anarchy Patch (1.5) released, adding the new Anarchy game mode and Tanzschock upgrade type. Developer framed this as saying goodbye to Beat Slayer's 2024 update cycle — the last post on record.

About this game

Beat Slayer is a roguelite hack n’ slay game like no other. Instead of just being in the background the music takes centre stage.
Join Mia, a badass music lover and crafty tinkerer, as she battles hordes of robots in a dystopian 90s-inspired Berlin. There’s only one rule:

Fight to the rhythm!

Every move you make has to match the rhythm of the soundtrack. Fail to do so and you’ll pay the price. No button mashing, no frantic inputs. Only smooth and skillful gameplay will lead to your victory against the waves of different enemies and imposing bosses!

Show them your moves!

Leverage Mia’s nimble move set and decide within seconds which of your moves you should use. Dash to engage or disengage? Attack to build up your drive bar or spread your status effects? Kick your enemies against walls or into each other? The choice is yours!

Slay it your way!

Each run plays differently and is influenced by your playstyle and your thrill for risks, but also by your starting weapon, your chosen upgrades and your growing skill set.

Berlin Attitude

Rely on your unconventional team of rebels as you navigate through a robot-controlled and corrupted Berlin. Discover the city's diverse locations, from underground bunkers to towering rooftops, while your allies assist with weapons, upgrades, and valuable insights.

Get in the flow!

Put on your headphones, sync with the beat and dive more and more into the action to enter the “flow state”. Don’t think and just play. Let the music guide you and create your own symphony of destruction round, after round, after round!
