Evaluation

Ben and Ed - Blood Party left Early Access and reached its 1.0 release on February 13, 2018, at which point the developer shipped a new level set, new items, traps, customization options, and bug fixes. After launch, the game received one additional content update on October 16, 2018 — a Halloween-themed patch adding a new level, new zombie customization objects, and various improvements. That October 2018 update appears to be the last content the developer added to the game. Since then, the studio's energy has clearly moved on. A July 21, 2022 news post announced that Sluggerfly had released a brand-new game, Hell Pie, described as the result of "over 4 years of hard work." This strongly implies the studio redirected its full focus to that project well before the announcement. The only DLC ever released for Blood Party is the game's soundtrack, which came out in May 2017 during Early Access. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap promises, and no developer statements indicating any further content is planned for the game. The store description makes no mention of upcoming features or future updates. With the last content update on October 16, 2018, the developer having publicly moved on to a new title, and no outstanding commitments of any kind, Blood Party is a complete, finished product.
