Beneath The Cherry Trees

Beneath The Cherry Trees is a free, short visual novel adaptation of a 1928 Japanese literary work. The store description explicitly frames it as a "FREE demonstration" of the AIRNovel engine — it was released as a self-contained finished product. After launching on October 14, 2016, the developer posted four updates, all focused on language support and translation improvements: a temporary English fix at launch, a language option added on November 6, 2016, an English and Simplified Chinese translation overhaul on December 15, 2016, and Spanish language support added on January 9, 2017. There have been no developer communications of any kind since January 9, 2017. No DLC was ever listed, no future content was announced, and no roadmap was published. The game launched as a complete, short-form work and received only polish updates in the months following release. Development concluded after the final language update on January 9, 2017.
