Evaluation
Beneath the Mountain launched on March 5, 2024 and has continued to receive substantial updates. The development timeline shows consistent major content releases: Version 1.3 on the launch date (March 5, 2024), Version 1.3.1 on November 7, 2025, and most recently Version 1.3.2 on September 17, 2026 — just one day before today's assessment date. This latest update is extensive, adding Guard Posts, cart-riding soldiers, new cosmetic buildings, reworked trap and unit systems, and the click-and-drag track building that was promised in the November 2025 roadmap.
In the November 7, 2025 update post, the developer published a "The Future" section listing four planned features: World-Map Battles, Ultrawide Monitor Support, an Icon Overhaul, and Auto-Rail Tracks. The September 2026 update delivered Auto-Rail Tracks (as click-and-drag track drawing), but the other three items — World-Map Battles, Ultrawide Monitor Support, and the Icon Overhaul — have not appeared in any subsequent patch notes and remain outstanding commitments from that roadmap.
The developer has been actively communicating throughout this period, with the most recent post dated September 17, 2026. The pattern of roughly one major content update every 6–12 months (launch in March 2024, 1.3.1 in November 2025, 1.3.2 in September 2026) is consistent, and with multiple named features still on the stated roadmap, more content is expected.
Evidence
Version 1.3.2 shipped as a major content update, delivering Guard Posts, cart-riding soldiers, new cosmetic buildings, click-and-drag track drawing (Auto-Rail Tracks from the roadmap), and extensive system reworks.
Version 1.3.1 post included a 'The Future' section explicitly listing planned upcoming features: World-Map Battles, Ultrawide Monitor Support, Icon Overhaul, and Auto-Rail Tracks.
