Bird has been in Early Access since February 17, 2021. The developer (Meng Games) shipped three small feature updates: one shortly after launch on February 25, 2021, a second on July 20, 2021, and a third adding a photo mode on August 9, 2022. No updates of any kind have been posted since August 9, 2022 — nearly four years of silence. The game has no stated roadmap, no announced completion target, and no post from the developer explaining the lack of activity. Because Early Access games carry an implicit promise of continued development toward a finished release, the prolonged silence with no explanation makes it unclear whether the developer is still working on the game or whether development has quietly stopped.
