Evaluation
Feather launched on April 5, 2019 as a peaceful bird flight simulation. Following launch, Samurai Punk delivered a series of updates: several feature patches in 2019 adding weather systems, Japanese localization, and a new island region, followed by the Explorer Update on September 30, 2020 (which added a new hidden area, 4 new birds, 6 new songs, Mac support, and PS4/Xbox One crossplay), and finally the Friends Forever Update on October 18, 2021, which added a cross-platform room code system for easier friend sessions. After October 2021, no further news posts, announcements, patches, or developer communications have appeared. The two major content updates were spread roughly 13 months apart, and now over four and a half years have passed since the last one with no activity of any kind. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no roadmap. The game appears to have concluded its post-launch content cycle with the Friends Forever Update in October 2021.
