BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien

Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien launched on February 26, 2013, as a complete rhythm platformer with 120 levels across five worlds. It received one post-launch content addition — the Good Friends Character Pack DLC, released on July 11, 2013 — along with a standalone soundtrack release. No further content was announced or released after July 2013. The developer's more recent communications are focused entirely on BIT.TRIP RERUNNER, a new sequel/reimagining that launched on Steam on November 21, 2023. A February 2026 post discusses a Kickstarter campaign for a Switch 2 version of RERUNNER — activity that pertains to that separate title, not Runner2. There are no outstanding commitments, unannounced updates, or roadmap items for Runner2 itself. Both DLC entries are fully released, and the store description describes the game as a finished product. Runner2 shipped as a complete, self-contained game and received its final content update in July 2013. It has been content-complete for over a decade.
