Black Myth: Wukong launched on August 19, 2024 as a complete, standalone action RPG based on Journey to the West. The two items in the DLC list are a Deluxe Edition upgrade (released August 20, 2024) and a Soundtrack Selection (released December 13, 2024) — neither represents story or gameplay content expansions. Post-launch, Game Science delivered several feature patches, notably Patch 1.0.9 in September 2024 and Patch 1.0.13 in December 2024, which added new modes and systems like Challenge mode and the Journeyer's Chart.
