BLACK STIGMA

BLACK STIGMA launched into Early Access on July 18, 2025 as a free-to-play PvP action shooter. Over the following months, the developer shipped regular updates, including two named major content updates (Update 1.2.0 in August 2025 adding new Master 'SIM', and Update 1.4.0 in February 2026 adding new Master 'Secret'), plus numerous feature and balance patches. A rotating Battle Pass system was also introduced. However, on March 12, 2026, the Executive Producer and studio issued two official notices announcing the temporary suspension of service. Paid content sales were stopped immediately, and game servers were scheduled to go offline following April 1, 2026 maintenance. The developer cited persistent bugs, stability problems, and a determination that incremental improvements would not be enough — they concluded a more substantial rework was needed before continuing operations. No further communication has been made since March 12, 2026. The game remains listed as Early Access and purchasable on Steam, but with servers offline, the game is effectively unplayable. There is no announced timeline for the service resuming, and it is unclear whether the game will return or what form it might take.
