Black The Fall launched on July 11, 2017 as a complete, self-contained puzzle-platformer. After launch, the developer shipped a couple of patches (bug fixes and a Razer Chroma integration) and added a free Halloween mini-game by November 27, 2017. No paid DLC was ever released, and the store description describes a finished narrative experience with no mention of ongoing content or future updates. On April 26, 2019, Sand Sailor Studio's final post on this game's Steam page announced the release of their next title, BOSSGARD — a clear signal that the studio had moved on. There have been no developer communications about Black The Fall since April 2019. The game launched as a complete product, received minor post-launch support through late 2017, and the studio has since shifted focus entirely to other projects.
