BLACK WITCHCRAFT launched on September 26, 2022, and QuattroGear maintained an active post-launch update schedule for over a year. The developer shipped numerous feature patches improving balance, controls, map design, and quality of life from launch through late 2023. The sole major content addition was "Just a Dream," an extra story chapter released on October 5, 2023. The most recent developer communication of any kind was a feature patch on December 21, 2023, which included gameplay refinements and minor bug fixes. Since that date — now more than two and a half years ago as of June 2026 — there have been no further posts, announcements, or updates from the developer. All six DLC items (digital artbooks and the soundtrack) were released the day after launch and are purely supplemental; no content DLC or season pass was ever listed. No future content has been announced, and the developer has not communicated any ongoing development plans. The pattern of updates has clearly concluded, with the December 21, 2023 patch representing the end of the game's active update period.

Demons have been unleashed in the House of Usher.
The raven-haired witch, Ligeia, suddenly awakens in an unknown body into which she was resurrected by means of the Black Witchcraft known as "Rebirth." It was a feat carried out by a young girl named Madeline, with help from the Raven Demon, in all desperation to stop the madness of her brother, Roderick.
Not at all enthusiastic at first, Ligeia is persuaded with an upfront compensation from the Raven Demon, to stop the resurrection of a dangerous witch, Lenore, and sets out for the House of Usher accompanied by Durahan, a magic briefcase.
After arriving at the mansion, Ligeia gets entangled in Roderick's scheme to release Lenore...
