Evaluation

BlackFaith launched into Early Access on July 4, 2018 as a free-to-play survival horror game developed by a small self-funded indie team. In the months following launch, the developer shipped a series of small feature patches updating maps, gameplay systems, and multiplayer through October 2018. On March 11, 2019, the developer posted an announcement explaining that the existing survival mode had been removed in preparation for a major incoming patch, with development focus shifting to a story-driven campaign mode. They acknowledged poor communication and asked players to be patient. That post is the last official communication from the developer — there have been no updates, patch notes, announcements, or any other posts since March 11, 2019. The promised campaign mode and major patch were never delivered. The game remains in Early Access with its store description still referencing planned future content (new mechanics, maps, story campaigns), but there is no evidence development has continued in over seven years.
Evidence
Developer announced a major upcoming patch shifting focus to campaign story mode, acknowledged poor communication, and said the game is still in development. This is the last official communication from the developer.
