Evaluation
Resident Evil Village launched on May 6, 2021 and received its final major content in the Winters' Expansion on October 28, 2022, which added a new story chapter (Shadows of Rose), third-person mode, and additional Mercenaries content. At the same time, Capcom released the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition bundling the base game with this expansion — a complete package offering. All seven listed DLC items have been released, with the Winters' Expansion being the last to ship in October 2022.
Since the Winters' Expansion launched, there have been no new updates, patches, or announcements relating to Village-specific content. Subsequent news posts on this store page have exclusively promoted other Resident Evil titles — Resident Evil 4 (2023), Resident Evil Requiem (2026), and most recently the announcement of Resident Evil Veronica (2027). No roadmap, future DLC, or additional content for Village has been communicated by Capcom at any point after October 2022. The game is content-complete.
