EBOLA launched out of Early Access on July 10, 2019 (Update V 1.35), followed by one additional feature/bug-fix patch on July 16, 2019 (Update V 1.42). After that point, no further updates were made to this game itself. The developer's subsequent posts are announcements for separate franchise entries — The Walking Evil (December 2019), EBOLA 2 (December 2020), EBOLA 2 survival (February 2021), and EBOLA VILLAGE (May 2025) — indicating the studio has moved on to new titles rather than continuing to develop this one. The store description presents a self-contained experience (10-floor underground base, a complete storyline) with no mention of planned expansions or additional content. There are no unreleased DLC listings. The last developer communication relating to this game dates to July 16, 2019, and the developer has never indicated any intention to return to it. The game was shipped as a finished, standalone product.
