Evaluation

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution launched on Steam on March 21, 2023. Following launch, the developer released a substantial patch on April 19, 2023 addressing critical bugs, quality-of-life improvements, and visual fixes, followed by a final crash-fix patch on May 11, 2023. Since that May 11, 2023 patch, there have been no further developer communications of any kind — no new content announcements, no roadmap, no DLC listings, and no teases of future updates. The game has no unreleased DLC on the store. The developer never communicated plans for post-launch content beyond the base game and its cosmetic Payback Edition upgrade (which was available at launch). With only two post-launch patches focused on bug fixes and no sustained content update pattern, and with developer communications having ceased entirely after May 11, 2023, the game appears to have launched as a complete, standalone narrative experience with no additional content planned.

Evidence

Final patch fixing crashes and weapon jitter. Last official communication from the developer as of today.

Beware The Axeman

Battle against a terrifying new foe more deadly than any walker or desperate survivor. Determined to chop you to bits, you'll need to fight with all you got or run for your life when this towering pursuer comes for you. Will you be able to solve the mystery of who this post-apocalyptic serial slasher is and put a stop to their reign of terror, or will you be just another victim on the chopping block?

Help (or Hinder) the Exiles

Meet an all new faction of survivors in New Orleans. Rejected by the Tower and refusing to join the brutal Reclaimed, these men and women caught in the middle of the chaos can offer you incredible rewards if you take on their daunting tasks and help them establish their claim in this deadly place. Or you could find a way to take their resources by force, if the path of the Sinner is more appealing to you.
