The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners launched on January 23, 2020 and received two post-launch content updates: the Meatgrinder update on July 14, 2020 (a free update adding a new wave-survival mode, difficulty option, and weapon), and the Aftershocks update on September 23, 2021 (a free post-campaign expansion adding several hours of new missions and content). Both represent the full post-launch content cycle for this game on Steam. In August 2021, the developer stated that "Aftershocks won't be the end of the content coming to The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners" and promised to "reveal more in the coming months." However, what followed was the announcement and development of a full sequel — The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution — which was teased in April 2022 and launched on PCVR in early 2023. The developer's January 2023 anniversary post explicitly recaps the arc of the original game (Chapter 1, Meatgrinder, Aftershocks) as a completed history while positioning Chapter 2 as the next step. This strongly indicates the August 2021 promise of "more content" was fulfilled by, or redirected into, the sequel rather than additional content for this game. No unreleased DLC is listed for this title. The sole DLC — the Tourist Edition Upgrade — released on January 31, 2020. There have been no developer communications about new content for Chapter 1 since the January 2023 anniversary post, and that post itself treats Chapter 1 as a finished product being celebrated. The last developer communication of any kind was January 25, 2023, now over three years ago with no further posts. The game launched as a complete product, received two meaningful free content expansions, and the studio's attention has since fully moved to Chapter 2. The original game's content is complete.
