REQUISITION VR

Requisition VR launched in Early Access in October 2022 and officially left Early Access on May 4, 2023, with its 1.0 release. At that point, the developer stated that development would continue, with plans to focus on a large Survival mode map. However, the story of this game took a significant turn in November 2025. On November 6, 2025, the developer announced that over the previous two years they had been rebuilding the game from the ground up into an entirely new, standalone title: Requisition VR: Hunt & Extract (App ID 4109600), which launched on November 12, 2025. The developer explicitly described this successor as "an entirely new game" — so substantial in scope that it was released as a separate product rather than an update to the original. As a gesture of goodwill, owners of the original game were given a free key for the new title. Following that launch, the most recent developer communication on this game's Steam page — a December 29, 2025 holiday update post — directed players to the new standalone game's store page for a Christmas event. This confirms that the developer's active work and post-launch support has fully migrated to the new title. The original Requisition VR has received no further updates since the new game launched, and there are no announcements of additional content for the original. The game's content development effectively concluded with the transition to Hunt & Extract. The December 29, 2025 holiday post, while technically the last communication on this page, was advertising the new game's seasonal content — not new content for the original. The original game appears to be a completed, standalone release at this point.
