Contagion VR: Outbreak left Early Access on December 11, 2020 and has received a handful of updates since then. The last developer communication on record is the Summer 2022 update posted on June 28, 2022, which added a new Freelancer map and mentioned plans for two additional maps (CrossStreet and Apartment) in the next build. However, no further updates have been posted since that date — nearly four years of silence as of June 2026. Looking at the broader post-launch update history, the game's major content additions were concentrated during its Early Access period: Mission 2 (December 2018), Mission 3 (June 2019), Mission 4 / Biotec (April 2020), and the 1.0 launch update (December 2020).
