Blair Witch

Blair Witch launched on August 30, 2019 as a complete, story-driven psychological horror game. In the weeks following launch, Bloober Team released several technical and performance patches to address bugs and stability issues. A free cosmetic update called the "Good Boy Pack" arrived on December 3, 2019, adding dog customization options, new phone content, and animations — a minor quality-of-life addition rather than new story content. The most significant post-launch development came on August 12, 2021, when Bloober Team released Blair Witch: VR Edition as a separate Steam product. This was a purpose-built VR adaptation featuring redesigned environments, new creature encounters, and enhanced interactions with companion dog Bullet. This appears to be the last meaningful content addition tied to the Blair Witch game. Both DLC items listed on the store — the Digital Soundtrack and The Art of Blair Witch — were released on the same day as the base game (August 30, 2019) and represent supplemental media rather than additional gameplay content. No unreleased DLC is listed. Since the VR Edition launch in August 2021, Bloober Team's news posts on this page have been almost entirely cross-promotional — announcing other Bloober Team titles such as The Medium, the Layers of Fear reimagining, the Silent Hill 2 remake (released October 2024), and their new IP Cronos: The New Dawn. There are no roadmaps, promised updates, or announcements of future Blair Witch content. The developer has moved on to other projects, and no post-launch content development for Blair Witch has been communicated since 2021.
