Blaite launched on January 2, 2017 as a difficult platformer. In the weeks immediately following launch, the developer was very active: they shipped trading card support (January 3), a local multiplayer mode and achievements (January 10), new levels (January 16), and a gamepad bug fix (January 24, 2017). The store description promises "up to 5 new levels each week," and early posts expressed clear intent to keep updating the game regularly. However, all developer activity stopped after January 24, 2017 — nearly a decade ago. The 15 news posts scanned contain zero major content releases and no developer communications of any kind after that date. The weekly level release cadence that was promised in early January 2017 was never sustained beyond the initial burst of post-launch patches. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap commitments outstanding, and no developer statements about future plans made after January 2017. The store description's promise of weekly levels reads as launch marketing that was never fulfilled at scale.
