Evaluation

Blood Waves launched into Early Access on February 10, 2018, with the developer (Light Road Games) expressing enthusiasm for ongoing development and promising frequent updates, bug fixes, new content, and new game modes. True to that promise, the studio shipped several updates through mid-2018: control improvements and autosave (February–March 2018), key binding options (May 2018), and a new "Horde" game mode (August 3, 2018). The game officially released out of Early Access on May 11, 2018. After the Horde mode update on August 3, 2018, all developer activity on Blood Waves effectively stopped. There have been no further patches, content updates, or development communications for the game itself. The one post that followed — on October 31, 2024 — was not about Blood Waves at all; it was the developer promoting a beta test for a different game (Granny: Escape Together). This confirms that Light Road Games has moved on to a new project and is no longer developing Blood Waves. No DLC was ever listed, no future content was announced after the Horde mode shipped, and no further roadmap or developer statement about Blood Waves has been made. The game appears to have shipped as a complete product with its final content arriving in August 2018.
Evidence
