Evaluation

Bloody Knuckles Street Boxing remains in Early Access, having launched on June 2, 2024. The developer has shipped four major patches since launch: Patch 0.2 on June 18, 2024; Patch 0.3 on September 17, 2024; Patch 0.4 on November 28, 2024; and most recently Patch 0.5 on February 18, 2026. Each patch has delivered substantial new content — Patch 0.3 introduced Simulation Boxing and Team Battle modes; Patch 0.4 added a physical referee, co-op Focus Mitts, and new guard options; Patch 0.5 brought a full visual damage system, a new vulnerability/damage system, six new venues, fighter archetypes, cloth physics for cosmetics, and more. The game's version numbering (currently 0.5) is a clear signal from the developer that the product is far from feature-complete. No developer statement has mentioned a 1.0 release date, a conclusion to Early Access, or a wind-down of development. The interval between major patches has been: roughly 3 months (0.2→0.3), roughly 2 months (0.3→0.4), and roughly 15 months (0.4→0.5). Taking the longest observed gap as a reference, the cadence window extends to approximately May 2027 from the last patch. As of September 24, 2026, it has been approximately 7 months since Patch 0.5 shipped on February 18, 2026 — well within that window. The developer also remains community-engaged, having hosted a live tournament event on January 11, 2026 as a final balancing test for Patch 0.5. There is no indication of developer distress or abandonment. The sustained update history and sub-1.0 versioning together indicate ongoing development continues as expected for an Early Access title.

***WARNING***

Bloody Knuckles Street Boxing is NOT your average boxing game. You are in control of EVERYTHING your fighter does from punch placement to obeying the rules. Your hand will NOT be held any way. This game is backed by a community of true boxing connoisseurs looking for a place to exercise their knowledge of the sweet science. The goal is to create an OBVIOUS skill gap between users. If easy wins are what you're looking for, I recommend trying other boxing games.
