Boo Men has been in Early Access since September 15, 2022, and has received a strong cadence of major content updates throughout 2022 and 2023 — including new Boo Men characters, maps, game modes, perks, and seasonal events. The last major update arrived on April 16, 2024, adding a new map (Wacky's Funhouse) and a new Boo Man (Scamper). That same post explicitly listed several planned future features, including a stats page, improved server browser, new PvP options, weather effects, a leveling system, and more. The developer also stated they intended to keep updating Boo Men "for a long time," even while working on a separate new project.
However, as of June 20, 2026, there have been no developer posts, patches, or announcements since April 16, 2024 — a gap of over two years. Before that update, the developer had been fairly active, with posts appearing every few months. The current silence is well beyond what has historically been seen between updates. The developer acknowledged in both August 2023 and April 2024 that attention had partially shifted to a new project, which may be contributing to the delays. The game remains available for purchase in Early Access, and the planned content from April 2024 has not been officially cancelled or confirmed as still in progress.

About this game
You are a thief tasked with burglarizing homes. You are given a list of items required to steal before you can leave. Play with a team and split the prize money or play solo and keep it all for yourself, but it won't be that easy. Boo Men can be lurking in the dark, so stay in the light if you want to survive. This means keeping an eye on the power. The more lights you turn on, the faster it will drain the power and cause a power outage in which case you will need to locate the breaker to turn back on. Take caution -A Boo Man may be hiding in the light, waiting for someone to turn it off...
