Bot Wars has been in Early Access since September 10, 2021 and remains clearly active. The developer, Frompy Games, has shipped a consistent series of major content updates throughout its time in Early Access: The Medic-Bot update (October 2021), The Samurai Bot (November 2021), Minigunner (June 2022), 4Wheel Ride with vehicles and new levels (April 2023), The Little Tank Update with new vehicles, aircraft, and maps (April 2024), the M.I.R.C.A. Complex faction and level update (June 2025), and most recently ROOMBO, a new hero unit for the Dross faction (April 1, 2026). This establishes a pattern of major releases roughly every 6-13 months, and the most recent arrived just under 3 months before today's date — well within that window.
Beyond major content, the developer has kept up a steady stream of feature patches and bug fixes throughout, with the April 2025 patch notes explicitly noting that "a full economy overhaul is planned for future updates," indicating ongoing development work and future plans. The launch post from September 2021 also outlined long-term goals including a Campaign Mode, lore unlocks, and more — goals that have not been declared complete. The developer maintains an active Discord for beta testing of upcoming content.

Bot Wars is an action RTS about commanding a squad of robots and managing your bases, as you work to take over all the capture points on the map.
A world where money is the only resource left that matters and governments have been replaced by corporations...also synth music is playing all the time and everything is neon. Work as a member of the Property Acquisition Department to help your company gain a monopoly on the world. Starting with a small squad, eventually, Command a swarm of bots as you battle your way up the corporate ladder.
